Not sure I'll be able to hold out 'till late march/april to get the Fiat back on the road :/

Whenever a nice day comes along I’m always extremely tempted to have the Fiat inspected (it needs to pass an inspection first before I can drive it). The plan is to let it sit until late march or even april before putting it back on the road so the inspection time is more convenient in the future. I’m very much not sure I can hold out though. I’m really craving a drive in the little shaky bugger.

Naaah, just get that inspection, still, even without it you have to pay insurance, so why not?

I am coming back to Poland from UK in two weeks and need to: a) scrap my CC because of dead engine, rusting body and a loooot of things and b) look for some next one, oh my i want feltdach in it.

I’m holding out on the Z, the roads just got salted again here and she’s on a low sodium diet, goes straight to her hips you know?

Do you go in and tinker at all during the winter? Haha! :)

Winter, while in storage, would be a nice time to get little niggly things done if there were any you still had on your list! I know your garage doesn’t look very big though...

The garage is definitely big enough to work in, so that’s not a problem. There are a few things that still need doing too: new rear springs, new right inside door handle, the partial engine undertray needs to be installed, and I need to get a new passenger side seat belt for it as the current one doesn’t retract very well. Luckily, all of those jobs are simple, and dont’ make teh car undriveable or anything. I’ll probably get round to doing them around springtime.

Yeah, minus the springs, the rest all seem like decent “rainy day” (or “wintery day” in this case, haha!) things to work on. Do you have a heated garage?

We have 2 heated garages and one that’s not. We did most of the work in one of the heated ones, and after that the Fiat got relegated to the non-heated one. Still, it’s not really that cold (6-8*C)at the moment so working even in the non-heated one wouldn’t be a problem.

Not too bad! I assumed the only garage you had was the one in your 126 videos! :)

We had a nice day here awhile back (8-10*C) - should’ve started trying to work on the LED driving light mount for my DD Accent. :)

Every nice day is turture now. I’m finding the wait to be absolutely torturous. :P On teh other hand, if I manage to wait it out a bit more maybe I’ll finally get round to doing all of those things mentioned above which I’ve been putting off since the summer. :P
